You may occasionally receive the following message when clicking on your bio link from your Instagram profile:
Sometimes, Instagram prevent users from clicking their own link in profile. Presumably they do this to prevent Instagrammers from artificially driving up their stats by clicking on their own links. It's very frustrating when all you want to do is to check your link is working!
Instagram forces all traffic from its app browser through it's own servers, called a proxy.This message is a security measure from Instagram itself which we have no control over, unfortunately. It is randomized and can happen to anyone - even non-Shoplnk users. It is put in place by Instagram to check the links in your bio and make sure they’re not a security risk.
There's usually nothing wrong with your Shoplnk website or the link itself. Instagram will do this to any link in your bio!
Here's how to check that your link is working for your followers:
* Open your Instagram profile in your internet browser (make sure you're not logged in to Instagram). You'll be able to see your profile from the point of view of other Instagrammers, and when you click on your link your Insta website will open.
* If you have multiple Instagram accounts, switch to a different account in the Instagram app, then view your profile so you can see what everyone else sees. When you click on your Shoplnk link your Insta website will open correctly.
* Ask a friend to go to your profile to check your link is working
* Send a message using the chat bubble below and ask us to check it for you! Be sure to send us your Instagram username or a link to your Instagram profile so we can find you.
Reporting the error to Instagram
The error appears to resolve itself and only effects the current device you're using.
If the "Sorry, this page isn't available" message still appears when viewing your Insta website in a private/incognito browser window, report the issue directly to Instagram.
